Although I have been writing articles in newspapers, magazines and for online publications for the past 12 years, I consider myself a relative newbie to the blogging world. For the past 9 months I have made it a mission to learn more about blogging and in doing so, I have developed some new relationships with some great people.
Information overload
When it comes to financial information, I think personal finance blogs are wonderful resources. One of the biggest challenges for people is the ridiculous amount of information out there on the web. Google ‘personal finance’ and you will get 310,000,000 results in 0.18 seconds. Filter that to Canadian sites only and you still get 887,000 results in 0.16 seconds. Google anything and you will find a case of information overload. How can anyone possible got through that much information?
To make matters worse, going through the results can be very frustrating because it does not always give you what you are looking for.
